The Introduction to Marketing Class at Central High school participated in the Virginia Stock Market Game recently. Student teams received $100,000 of game money to purchase stocks over a three-month period to see how much they could increase their portfolios. The team pictured placed third out of 647 teams in the VCU region of Virginia and were invited to the VCU School of Business to present their stock-purchasing strategy and to receive awards. The team increased the value of their portfolio by over $25,000 in a three-month period. Pictured are, from left, Connor Shell, Hunter Gibbs, Jessica Kimball and Daveyon Rainey.
