The Southside Women’s District of the Virginia Farm Bureau’s Women’s Committee met recently and Lunenburg County Farm Bureau’s Women’s Committee Chairman, Melanie Slayton, was in attendance.  Meeting attendees are shown here holding “I Farm, I Vote” signs.  With all 140 seats of the Virginia General Assembly up for election this November, these signs serve as a reminder to residents in rural Virginia to make their voice heard and get out to vote.  Virginia Farm Bureau is encouraging farmers to pick up an “I Farm, I Vote” sign from their local Farm Bureau office and take a picture with the sign on their farm to post on social media or submit to Farm Bureau in support of this initiative.
