Thomas Bradshaw, a resident of Blackstone, has art on display in an exhibit at the Crewe Public Library this month. Bradshaw is a teacher of the en Plein Air method of painting as well as an accomplished artist in landscape oils. En Plein Air is French for “in the open air” and is used to describe painting outdoors. Bradshaw comes from a dedicated family of artists and doctors who encourage his lifelong love of art. He uses nature as the essence of the scene, letting the painting speak for itself. His gallery, Thomas Bradshaw Fine Art Gallery and Studio, is located in Downtown Historic Blackstone. A nationally collected artist and winner of many awards and competitions, the Crewe Public Library is pleased to have this extraordinary artist and will host a reception in his honor on Friday, Oct. 23 from 7-8 p.m. at the Crewe Library. The library is located at 400 Tyler Street. Call (434) 645-8688 for library hours or for more information.
