Local kids compete in South Hill travel softball tournament

- The Lake Country Crushers 03 team won the 12U division after going undefeated during the tournament. They won five consecutive games. Got Game Fastpitch held a travel softball team tournament on Saturday. Teams traveled from all over Virginia and North Carolina to compete in the event, with several teams having Lunenburg players on them. The tournament consisted of 10U, 12U and 14U teams. Each of the winning teams have local players on them. All teams that played in the tournament wished to thank South Hill for hosting the event.
Chesterfield Fusion went undefeated in the tournament and won the 10U division. The Fusion team players are, from left, (front row) Skylar Hulings (Blackstone), Mallory Ligan, Kieren McHugh (Blackstone), Abby Crawford, Brianna Elliot (Crewe), Harley Gastrich; (back row) Carma Williams, Ava Harper, Ryle Cousins, Chloe Bickhart, Reece Farliegh and Kinda Ferrell.
