Kenbridge Construction recently promoted three longtime employees to executive positions.

Emory Hodges, president, said, “We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Brandon Spencer to executive vice president, John B. Mahaney to vice president of preconstruction services and Terri Newcomb to controller.”

Spencer obtained a BS from UVa in 1998 majoring in civil engineering. He then interned with KCC while in college and was hired as a project manager after graduation.

Spencer has been with Kenbridge Construction for over 17 years.

Mahaney obtained a BS from Virginia Tech in 1997 majoring in building construction.

He also interned with Kenbridge for three summers while attending VT and started as a project manager after graduation where he served for 14 years.

In 2012, Mahaney transitioned into the estimating department and is now responsible for all aspects of preconstruction services.

Newcomb joined KCC in 2000 as a payroll clerk. She will obtain a BS from Liberty University in December of this year.

In 2012, Newcomb assumed responsibility for all accounting and financial affairs of the corporation.

KCC asks the community to join them in congratulating the employees on their promotions.

“This group of talented individuals have a wealth of experience and knowledge to lead KCC into the future,” said Hodges.

KCC was founded in Kenbridge in 1948 and has been a commercial contractor in Virginia and North Carolina, having contracted over $650 million worth of construction in the past 10 years.
