Dear editor,

As a subscriber to the Kenbridge-Victoria Dispatch, I just wanted to say thanks for your editorial column “A day to remember” on Veterans Day remembrance (published 11/11).

I served in Vietnam, and our unit sustained over 1,800 paratroopers killed in action.

Each one of these men were extraordinary heros who are completely unknown to the American public.

There are two of us from this unit who live in Lunenburg County and we appreciate that at least on two days of the year (Veterans Day and Memorial Day) the ultimate sacrifice of these brave souls are somewhat remembered.

Thanks again for reminding your readership of Veterans Day.
