Three win $500 ECMC scholarships

Central High School hosted an Educational Credit Management Corp. (ECMC) College Night recently. Ashley Woodard, senior assistant director of admissions from Longwood University, Paul Farrar II, Southside Region Tobacco scholarship coordinator, and Sandra Bacon, financial aid specialist from Southside Virginia Community College, spoke to students and parents. All of these representatives had lots of tips and information regarding college admission, applying for financial aid and applying for scholarships. At the conclusion of the presentation there was a drawing for three $500 scholarships offered through Educational Credit Management Corp.
