The marriage of Miss Jessica Jean Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Reed of Victoria, Virginia, to Mr. Jonathan Dean Shelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Shelton of Victoria, Virginia, took place October 3, 2015, at Kenbridge United Methodist Church.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Parrish and the late Mr. Earnest Parrish of Victoria. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Irish Jones and the late Mr. Dewey Jones Jr. of Victoria; Mrs. Audrey Shelton McCormick and the late Mr. James Shelton of Crewe; and the late Mrs. Ruby Shelton East of Brookneal.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. Erin Davis of Red Oak, Virginia was the bride’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Ashworth, Cynthia Parrish, Lauren Parrish, Kristie Parrish, and Brandi Umstead. Paisleigh Winn and Ella Parrish were flower girls. Mr. Bobby Shelton was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Jackson, Kenny Lang Jr., Rob McDaniels, Matthew Oakes, and Nicki Shelton. Max Parrish, Aidan Parrish and Bohdi Shelton were ring bearers. Gayle Lenhart served as the mistress of ceremonies. Bonnie Gilliam served as a reader. Music at the ceremony was provided by pianist Sue Palmer with vocal selection by the Gilliam family. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Kenbridge United Methodist church the evening before the wedding. The bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lunenburg Country Club in Kenbridge, Virginia following the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. They reside in Victoria.
