Kavalier golfers come up short by one stroke

The Kenston Forest School golf team played a conference match on April 12 at the Mill Quarter Plantation Golf Course in Powhatan, and took second place which was one stroke behind Southampton, in a match decided on the final hole.
The competitors were Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, Southampton Academy, Brunswick Academy and Banner Christian.
Southampton and Kenston scored better than the other three conference schools.
Cole Hagaman, of Lunenburg, led Kenston with a 44 on nine holes.
Kenston now has a 5-2-1 VCC record. The Kavaliers will travel to Nottoway River Country Club for a 3:30 p.m. match on Tuesday.
