Shirley R. Lee, center, recently presented a framed photograph and historical sketch of the Mount Olive School at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Victoria. The 1935 photograph is included in her educational collection housed by the Lunenburg County Historical Society. Lee shared information about the school’s early years from 1879 to its closure in 1948. Receiving the gift were Deacon Eddie Chaffin, left, who attended the school, and the Rev. Daniel Tucker Jr., pastor of the church.
