Kenston Forest varsity girls volleyball team notches big win

The Kenston Forest School varsity girls volleyball team defeated No. 5 state-ranked Southampton Academy on Thursday. The Lady Kavs were down 0-2 in the first two sets, with scores of 19-25 in both, and they came back to win the final three: 26-24, 25-14 and 17-15. The Kenston Forest attack was led by junior Peyton Clary, with 19 kills and nine service points, and junior Indigo Dougherty with eight kills. Junior Josie Epperson tacked on another eight points with non-returnable serves. The Kavs were ranked seventh in the state prior to the match on Thursday.
