LMS wins ACE top spot

The Lunenburg Middle School (LMS) Academic Competition for Excellence (ACE) Team concluded its season Nov. 7. The final meet was held at Prince Edward Middle School and featured the top six teams in points going head-to-head against one another. The LMS team battled hard and won three of the five matches. The Blue Devils finished off the season in the top spot, taking home the trophies for Most Wins and Most Points. Overall points standings for the year in the ACE Southside Middle School Conference were Lunenburg, 2,849 points; Park View, 2,747 points; Amelia, 2,651 points; Bluestone, 2,560 points; Halifax, 2,493 points; and Prince Edward, 2,468 points. The LMS ACE team included, from left, Ben Currin, Jacob Inman, Ethan Currin, Sterling Currin, Stephen Strigel (captain), Rieley Phillips, Cassidy Crouse, Maddie Sweitzer, Tim Fowler (coach) and Kayla Foster.
