Kavaliers improve to .500 with win

The Kenston Forest School varsity boys basketball team handed visiting Temple Christian School a 46-40 defeat Thursday evening.

The victory helps establish a positive trend for the Kavaliers, improving their record to 2-2 this season after starting it 0-2.

“We continue to play hard, but tonight we also took care of the ball against a good pressing team,” Kenston Forest Head Coach Bart Bellairs said Thursday.

Freshman Elijah Warner led the Kavaliers with 20 points, while sophomore Tyler White had eight points, senior Mark Smith had seven points and senior J.E.B. Buchanan added six.

Kenston Forest returns to action Friday when it hosts Richmond Christian School at 7:30 p.m.
