Midway Sunday School Union conducts workshop

The Midway Sunday School Union conducted its first youth workshop on Jan. 21 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Kenbridge.
“Valuable information” was delivered from Victoria Police Chief Raymond Hite, Easter Crowder and Deacon Cecil Shell on important Black History facts about Lunenburg County, event organizers said.
The Rev. C.L. Hobbs Jr. shared “Black History through the eyes of C.L. Hobbs Jr.” All presentations were educational in nature.
“The workshop was the first in a series of quarterly workshops the Midway Sunday School Union will be conducting. The next workshop is scheduled for Saturday April 8, 9 a.m.-noon. The subjects will include how to conduct a meeting, etiquette, how to dress, respect and manners.
