VALENTINE DANCE, at VFW Post 9954. Tickets will be $20 per couple. See any VFW or Auxiliary member for tickets.

BENEFIT FUNDRAISER, 6-10 p.m., for the Kenbridge Lions Club. The event will be held at the Kenbridge Town Hall, 511 E. 5th Ave., Kenbridge. BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 2:30 pm. at Flat Rock Baptist Church of Lunenburg County. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Andy Hargrove, pastor of the Williams Grove Baptist Church. He will be assisted by the Williams Grove Choir and membership. The public is welcome.

MOVIE AT VICTORIA NAZARENE, 6 p.m., titled “Fireproof” in Johnson Hall. Come and enjoy the movie and fellowship. Bring a snack to share.

CELEBRATION AND WORSHIP SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist, 2104 Jonesboro Road, Kenbridge, in celebration of African-American History Month. Speaker will be the Rev. Rickey C. Allen Jr., associate minister of Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone. Cedar Creek is also seeking a minister of music to play on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. VIRGINIA COOPERATIVE EXTENSION, will be hosting a Southside Commercial Fruit Tree School and Private Pesticide Re-certification at the Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SPAREC) in Blackstone from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Cost will be $20 with lunch and resources included. 12th ANNUAL WHOLE WOMAN CONFERENCE, at the Clarksville Community Center. Jane Lyon, the conference worship leader, invites all women to come aside and experience the life-changing love of Christ.
