Kenston Forest School (KFS) recently celebrated the 100th day of school on Jan. 27.

As part of the celebration, seventh-grader Juliette Kirker, daughter of Justin and Dr. Rebecca Kirker, of Lawrenceville, served as Headmaster for the Day.

“The Headmaster for the Day is a silent auction item at the annual KFS Reverse Raffle,” school officials said in a news release. “This item will be available again at Kenston Forest’s Reverse Raffle set for Feb. 4.”

Kirker met with Dr. Ruth Ann Horn, director of curriculum, and Paul Zanowski, headmaster, early in the week to plan for the day.

“Ms. Kirker granted free ice cream for everyone at lunch, offered a special lunch menu and a special dress code for Lower and Upper School students,” officials said in the release.

Kirker also supervised the “Whole School Challenge” where students in grades K-12 built chairs out of newspapers and duct tape.

“Mr. Buchanan’s technology class built a chair strong enough to hold Ms. Kirker. Some of the chairs were displayed at the KFS Open House, ‘Full STEAM Ahead,’ on Jan. 29.
