Though the Kenston Forest School varsity girls basketball team suffered a narrow loss to host Brunswick Academy on Monday and visiting Southampton Academy on Saturday, the Lady Kavaliers defeated visiting Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School 55-27 on Thursday.

Lady Kavs senior Savannah Gunn scored as many points as the visiting squad, pouring in most of her 27 points in the second and third quarters.

Junior Indigo Dougherty added 12 points, and junior Josie Epperson contributed eight.

Ranked seventh in the VISAA state poll released Feb. 7, Kenston Forest (11-12) hosts Virginia Episcopal School on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
