KFS varsity baseball wins season opener

The Kenston Forest School varsity baseball team opened its 2017 season by handing a 14-1 defeat to host Westover Christian Academy on Monday.

Kavaliers sophomore Tyler White went 2-for-2 at the plate, with two doubles. He drew two walks.

Additionally, White pitched two scoreless innings.

Sophomore Owen Marshall was Kenston Forest’s starting pitcher, throwing for three innings and giving up only one run.

The Kavaliers (1-0) return to action Saturday when they host Central Virginia Disciples Homeschool at 11 a.m. and Halifax Academy at 3 p.m.
