Lunenburg Girls Softball (LGS) has been looking for people willing to serve as umpires. LGS Commissioner Tony Matthews struggled to find anyone available and willing to umpire the two Ponytail games and two Belles games scheduled this past Saturday.

“I know that everyone realizes that if we don’t have umps, then we don’t have games,” Matthews said. “We pay $35 behind the plate and $30 in the field per game.”
