Library events noted

The Lunenburg County Public Library System (LCPLS) has scheduled several spring and summer events for the public.

According to a press release, the Victoria branch holds story time each Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Children ages eight and under are welcome to attend to read stories, play games and sing songs. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

“LCPLS has finalized the schedule for the 2017 Summer Reading Program. The theme will be ‘Build a Better World’ and each session will feature stories, activities and speakers from the Lunenburg community. Door prizes will also be given at the end of each session. The summer will kick off with an ice cream party at the Ripberger branch on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m.- noon. The event is free to the public and patrons can sign up for the Summer Reading Program. Registrations will also be accepted at either branch prior to June 3. The first event will be held Tuesday, June 6 at the Victoria branch and will feature Lunenburg County Animal Control Officer Ray Elliott.”
