JUNE 29

LUNENBURG CHAMBER MEETING, noon at Mildred’s Meals in Kenbridge. The chamber will present a certificate of award to the student of the quarter. For more information, visit www.lunenburgchamber.org.

JULY 1

CARWASH, 9 a.m. until, at the Tastee Freeze in Kenbridge. This event is sponsored by The 5 O’clock Women’s Support Club.

PROGRAM, 4 p.m. entitled “Bad and Good Girls” of the Bible at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. Please dress casual for this program. Refreshments will be served after the program.

JULY 3-7

LUNENBURG 4-H CAMP WEEK, at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox. This camp is geared for all youth ages 9-13 (as of Sept. 30, 2017). The total cost per child will be $195 which includes overnight lodging, meals, insurance, counselor and adult supervision, classes, program costs, camp T-shirt and transportation to and from camp. Campers have the opportunity to participate in exciting classes, with many options to choose from, including scuba, canoeing, riflery, archery, swimming and horsemanship, just to name a few. There are also swimming and recreation times, special evening events, songs, games and much more. JULY 12-13

4-H CLOVERBUD DAY CAMP, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Victoria Library. Cost will be $15 for the two days and participants need to bring a packed lunch each day. Campers will participate in fun activities, crafts and games.
