Alvin Waye

Alvin Waye was the twin brother to Alton Waye born July 8, 1955 to two proud parents Peter and Alice Ophelia Dennis Waye.

He received his early education in the Lunenburg County Public Schools where he played in the band at Central Senior High in Victoria, Virginia.

His employment was working with Montgomery County Highway Department in Maryland, Step Factory in Victoria, Virginia and Construction at VCU Hospital in South Hill, Virginia.

He moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland. He met and married the love of his life Paulette Clarke. Together they were blessed with one beautiful daughter.

He returned home to support his mother until his death.

He was baptized at St. Matthews Baptist Church Kenbridge, Virginia at an early age and later baptized again at Tower of Deliverance Apostolic Church in Crewe, Virginia.

Alvin is preceded in death by his father Peter Waye; twin brother Alton Waye.

He leaves to cherish, his daughter Renita Clarke (whom he loved dearly) of Pasenda, MD and her mother Paulette; his mother, Alice Ophelia Waye; two older brothers, Wendell and Larry Waye (Mildred), all of Victoria, Virginia, one sister, Linda Scott Brown (Charles), of Glen Burnie, MD., one niece, Shaun‘tel Scott of Gaithersburg, MD, three nephews, La’Mont Scott, Emmanuel Scott, and Dennis Waye of Richmond, Virginia, three great-nieces, LaMonie and London Scott, Skye Waters, and one great-nephew, Nicholas Bell; two aunts, Carrie Benjamin of Victoria, Virginia and Thelma Hazelwood of Blackstone, Virginia, and a great host of cousins and friends. Alvin was a very good son, awesome brother and well beloved by his family who called him “Twin” a heart of his father, “very kind and generous”.

Funeral services were conducted May 12, 2108, 1 p.m. at Tower of Deliverance Apostolic Holy Church, Crewe, Virginia with Pastor Gloria Wilkerson, officiating. Interment in Wayes’ Family Cemetery, Victoria, Virginia.

S.P. Jones and Son Funeral Home served the family.
