David Keith Purvis, 52, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born Monday, November 22, 1965 and grew up in Fluvanna County. Keith met the love of his life in 2007, he and Janice married and Keith started his own business, Gallion & Purvis Removal Service. Keith was a member of Bybee’s Road Baptist Church; an avid sports fan, especially Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles baseball; and VA Tech football. He was a very compassionate and genuine person who loved helping others and spending time with his family and friends. Keith never met a stranger.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Henry Fulton Purvis, Jr.

Keith is survived by his mother, Nora Payne Purvis Light; wife, Janice Gallion Purvis; brother, Cliff (Martha); nephew, Matt (Brittany) and daughter Penelope; nephew, Andy (Susan); aunts, Edna Pugh; Agnes Wichael (Gene); Elizabeth Bartholomew (Maxwell); uncles, Fella Payne and Curtis Payne (Betty); mother-in-law, Charlotte Gallion; brother-in-law, Michael Gallion; sisters-in-law, Donna Gallion and Daphne Weaver; uncles, Billy Wallace; Boyce Wallace; Jack Wallace; niece, Brandi (Josh) and children Mitch and McKenzie; niece, Shawn (Corey) and son Gavin; niece, Kelly (Chris); numerous cousins, and many great friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Bybee’s Road Baptist Church, 4989 Bybee’s Church Road, Troy, VA 22974.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Bybee’s Road Baptist Church and/or Hospice of the Piedmont.
