REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. nightly at Gilfield Baptist Church, Kenbridge. The Rev. Sharon of Baskerville will be the speaker for the week.

JUNE 8-9

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6-9 p.m. at the Victoria Church of the Nazarene for all ages. The theme will be “The Conquerors.” The closing VBS program will be held Sunday, at 10:50 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

CONSERVATIONS WITH THE AUTHOR, 10:30 a.m. – noon at Ripberger Public Library, Kenbridge. Local author Shirley Lee will lead an informal discussion of her book, “Trails and Trailblazers.”

FUNDRAISER/YARD SALE FOR BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Fletcher Chapel Road, Kenbridge, past the State Highway Department. Clothes, household goods, furniture, food and more.

FISH FRY, 11 a.m. at Starlight Baptist Church, 2203 Blackstone Road, Kenbridge.

DEADLINE, to submit entry and sponsorship forms for the 4th of July parade and jubilee, sponsored by the Lunenburg Chamber and the Town of Kenbridge.

JUNE 16

RANGER CHALLENGE, 1-3:30 p.m. at Twin Lakes State Park. Youth 14 years old and younger with a parent or other adult. Teams will compete in the Backyard Bass Casting game, a canoeing challenge, a corn hole challenge and an obstacle course. The award ceremony will be at 4 p.m. Register at one’s sport of choice on the day of the event. Rain date June 17.

JUNE 23

200TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT BRICKLAND, Sponsored by the Historical Society. 1-5 p.m. at 6877 Brickland Road, Kenbridge. Dawn Conrad in the garden at 2 p.m. and Adam Erby on Brickland’s architecture at 3 p.m. Limited number of advance ticket holders beginning at 5 p.m., including dinner on the grounds featuring locally grown and sourced food items. 4-H CLOVERBUD DAY CAMP, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Victoria Library for ages 5 – 8. Bring a packed lunch each day. Campers will participate in fun activities, crafts and games. CAMP “FUN” TASTIC at different locations across Lunenburg and surrounding counties for the week for ages 5 – 14. Bring a packed lunch each day unless told differently by the 4-H agent. Activities such as swimming, games, putt putt and many more fun activities. Spots will be limited to 10 campers. Transportation will be provided from the Lunenburg Extension Office. JULY 31

4-H HORSE DAY CAMP, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for advanced and beginners at Keats Point Farm in Boydton, for ages 9 – 18. Bring a packed lunch. Campers will learn about safety around horses and the grooming of horses. Advanced camp is for youth that has participated in this camp in the last three years. First time campers should sign up for beginners. Spots limited to 10 campers per day. Transportation will be provided from the Lunenburg Extension Office.
