VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Kenbridge. This year’s theme is “God Squad: Special Agents in Action.” All are welcome to attend.

REVIVAL SERVICES, 7 p.m. nightly at New Galilee Baptist Church, 4565 Plank Road, Kenbridge. Guest pastor the Rev. Earl Walker.

REVIVAL SERVICES, 7 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. There will be different guest preachers each night with their ushers and choir. Everyone is welcome.

JUNE 28

FISH FRY, 11 a.m. on Main Street in Keysville, near the Polar Express. This event will be sponsored by Antioch Baptist Church.

WOMEN IN RED SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. Ladies should dress in red. Guest will be the male chorus “Chosen Few” from Hampton. Refreshments will be served.

LAKE GASTON FIREWORKS, 9 p.m. at Eaton Ferry’s, Littleton, NC.

JULY 1

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m at Unity Baptist Church followed by a cookout. Games and fun for everyone. All are welcome.

SPEAKER, 11 a.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church, Kenbridge, will be the Rev. Jacqueline Morgan. Everyone is welcome to worship with our congregation.

JULY 3

FIREWORKS, 7-10 p.m., for the South Hill Independence Day Celebration, picnic in the park. Music by “The Red Neck Pool Party Band.” Free parking at Parker Park with shuttle service by LCAAA.

FIREWORKS, 4:30 p.m. – until at the Farmville Municipal Airport. The celebratory event will feature live music, food vendors and fun activities for children, including a bounce house.

JULY 4

PARADE AND JUBILEE, sponsored by the Lunenburg Chamber and the Town of Kenbridge. Parade will take place on Fifth Avenue, Kenbridge with the festival beginning at 10 a.m. in the park with food, games, a petting zoo, bouncy house, DJ, vendors and more.

JULY 7

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION, at Meherrin Fire Department. Stew will be ready at 11 a.m. Vendors and music begin at 4 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Step Back Band. Free admission. Boot drive at the gate. Fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Alcohol and pets are prohibited.

JULY 8

DEACONS, DEACONESSES AND OFFICERS DAY, 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City. Apostle Elizabeth Bagley and the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus will be in charge of the service.

JULY 9

INDUSTRIAL HEMP OPEN FORUM, 6-8 p.m. at the Environment Education Center at Lancer Park, Farmville. Seats are limited. Pre-register at (434) 392-4246 or sheldae@ vt.edu.

JULY 9-10

4-H CLOVERBUD DAY CAMP, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Victoria Library for ages 5 – 8. Bring a packed lunch each day. Campers will participate in fun activities, crafts and games.
