Lunenburg County put on an unforgettable National Night Out Aug. 7 at Victoria Railroad Park, thanks to the assistance of Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Police Department, Victoria Fire & Rescue, Virginia State Police, 4-H, Klassy Divas and Hiway Ballaz, BLISS of Lunenburg, Victim Services Unit from the Virginia Department of Corrections and the Lunenburg County Victim Witness Assistance Program. The event included a crime lab with a demonstration from a robot performed by Virginia State Police, a back-to-school supply giveaway from Klassy Diavs and Hiway Ballaz and watermelon eating contest in which Victoria Police Chief Keith Phillips was ruled the victor.
