Central High School’s varsity and junior varsity (JV) girls volleyball teams have both given Lady Chargers fans reasons to cheer this year. Through Monday, the JV squad held a record of 8-5 and the varsity girls held a 6-7 mark. With Monday’s 3-0 home win over Prince Edward County High School, senior Samantha Bishop, No. 12 pictured top left, and the rest of the varsity Lady Chargers have won three out of their last four matches. Meanwhile, while the JV girls fell 2-0 on Monday to visiting Prince Edward, they have never lost two matches in a row as they entered Tuesday’s home match against Bluestone.
