Reginald Luther Slacum departed this life on January 22, 2019. Reginald was baptized and joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age.

Reggie leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife of 37 years, Nannie; one son, Albert Reginald (Stacy); godson, Joseph Jones; three granddaughters: Alecia and Alyssa Meadows and Georgia Hines; one sister, Barbara (Melvin) Harried, three brothers: Conrad (Vivian) Slacum, Rodney Slacum and Michael Slacum; one sister-in law Sheila Andrews; two brothers-in-law, Robert Jones, Sr., and Jackie (Cynthia) Green, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held January 30 at Springfield Baptist Church, Meherrin, with the Rev. Dr. Theodore T. Brown officiating.
