APRIL 17

BIBLE STUDY, 7 p.m. at Victoria Christian Church lead by Greg Elam in which participants will learn about Jesus’ activities from Palm Sunday until Maundy Thursday evening. All are welcome to meet in the fellowship hall for this special study.

APRIL 18

MAUNDY THURSDAY, 7 p.m. at Victoria Christian Church to observe when Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, with a solemn program in the sanctuary that includes a communion service.

SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST FROM THE CROSS SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, 3606 Kenbridge Road, Blackstone. Holy Communion will be administered. Music will be rendered by Deacon Samuel Hawkes and Deaconess Joyce Hawkes of Little Mount. Everyone welcome.

APRIL 19

INTRODUCTORY YOGA CLASS, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Gentle stretching. Call Debbie at (518) 248-7220 for more information. Classes are free.

MOVIE SHOWING, 7 p.m. at Victoria Christian Church as we will experience the pain of Good Friday’s crucifixion with a special showing of the movie, “The Passion of the Christ.” The showing is free and open to the public. Assemble in the fellowship hall.

THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST SERVICE, 7:30 p.m. at the Commandment Apostolic Worship Center, Blackstone. Guest will be seven ministers from area churches. Everyone welcome.

APRIL 20

13TH ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT, 10 a.m. at Victoria Railroad Park sponsored by the Town of Victoria and the Classy Divas Social Club. The egg hunt will consist of two age groups, newborn-five and six-12. Bring your basket. The Easter bunny will be on-site and available for pictures.

EASTER EGG HUNT, noon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church along with a Basketball Shoot-Out. Everyone is welcome.

APRIL 21

SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. at West Hill Baptist Church, Victoria. Breakfast will follow.

RESURRECTION SUNDAY, at Victoria Christian Church beginning with an Easter celebration at 6:30 a.m. with our traditional Sunrise Service where Michael “Dikie” Lacks will bring the early morning message. The service will be followed by a light breakfast. Special music will be rendered at this service by Liz Hamlett and Tammy Gaulding. Join us again at 11 a.m. for Worship Service, when Pastor Earl Pinchbeck will conduct the Easter service that includes special choir selections.

REGULAR WORSHIP SERVICE, 8 a.m. at New Galilee Baptist Church. No Sunday school.

CARRYING OF THE CROSS, 5:30 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with sunrise service to follow at 6 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

WORSHIP SERVICE, 10 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church with Sunday school at 9 a.m. All are welcome.

INTERACTIVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM, 6-7:30 p.m. at Central Middle School cafeteria, 250 Statesmen Drive, Charlotte Courthouse. Learn what may be hidden in your teen’s bedroom and take a closer look at drug trends, youth behavior and how to start a conversation with your teen. Free pizza will be served. Adults 18 and older. Sponsored by Piedmont Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.
