Suspected marijuana plants seized

Suspected marijuana plants and marijuana paraphernalia were seized by the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Police Department and the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force on Aug. 18 following an investigation in the Victoria area of Lunenburg County, a news release from the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office noted.

“On Aug. 18, the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Police Department and the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force (comprised of narcotics investigators from the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Appomattox Field Office) executed a search warrant in the Victoria area of Lunenburg County,” the release cited.

“The investigation led to the seizure of 13 suspected marijuana plants and marijuana paraphernalia,” the release noted.

The release went on to say, “Charges are pending completion of the investigation and lab analysis by the Virginia Division of Forensic Science.”
