BI-MONTHLY MEETING, 6 p.m. of The Lunenburg County Public Library System Inc., Board of Trustees at the Victoria Library. This meeting is open to the public.

NOVEMBER 23

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER, noon-3 p.m. at the lot beside S.P. Jones Funeral Home, Kenbridge, hosted by the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, Kenbridge. Everyone welcome.

NOVEMBER 24

SUNDAY SERVICES, 10-11 a.m. at Thrifts Chapel United Methodist Church, located at the intersection Poorhouse and Marshalltown Roads, Victoria, every Sunday. Gospel singing and guitar music by the “Poorhouse Boys“ highlight the Sunday morning services. Pastor Mike Johnson also sings and plays guitar. Everyone is welcome.

THANKSGIVING SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Saint Matthew’s Baptist Church, Kenbridge. Come worship with us. Everyone welcome.

FARMVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE, noon-3:30 p.m., downtown Farmville.

DECEMBER 2

NAACP TO MEET, 7 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Building, Tidewater Avenue, Victoria. All are welcome.

DECEMBER 6

LUNENBURG COUNTY COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CONCERT, 6:40 p.m. featuring Patricia Mahaney, Mya Mahaney, Maurice Ellis and the Central High School Charger Blues Jazz Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble and Brass Ensemble. Pre-concert piano music by Stacy Sharpe Branch. Hosted by Victoria Baptist Church, located at the corner of Eighth Street and Washington Avenue. Handicapped parking and elevator access available. Inclement weather date is Dec. 20.

CHRISTMAS CAMP OPEN HOUSE, 4-7 p.m. at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center. Bring your whole family and come see the historic cabins decorated for Christmas and support your local 4-H office in our cabin decorating contest. Enjoy a bonfire, hay rides and games.
