The Victoria Fire and Rescue Department responded to an incident in the vicinity of Nottoway Falls Sunday, April 5. According to Fire Chief Rodney Newton, the initial reports were for an individual with a leg injury. After obtaining more information, the accident victim was found approximately a half mile downriver below the bridge. A large number of members of Victoria Fire and Rescue worked to get the individual off of the rocks and carried to a nearby driveway to be loaded into an ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
