Darrell Gray Irby, 83 of Lunenburg, went to be with the Lord on March 2. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Glass Irby; his parents, Earl Howard Irby and Willie Alma Lloyd Irby; his brothers, Vernon Earl Irby, William Sherwood Irby and Harry Whaley Irby and a sister; Eva Irby Knott.

Darrell is survived by his sister, Myrtle V. Irby; numerous nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law, Carole S. Irby, all of Lunenburg County.

Darrell retired from VDOT as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cutting grass and sitting on the front porch.

The family received friends Saturday, March 5, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services were held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to the Lunenburg Health Services, P.O.
