The Central High School varsity football team (9-3) took a 57-42 win over Franklin Friday. With the win, the team advances to the Virginia High School League Group 1A quarterfinals, where they will travel to Riverheads High School (11-0) on Friday for a 7 p.m. game against the Gladiators.
