Mae Jenkins Marshall of Kenbridge, formerly of Victoria, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Her great milestone was shared by over 100 of her family and friends with their presence, flowers, gifts, calls and cards. Mae has been a member of Victoria United Methodist Church since 1941. She worked at Peebles Department Store for about 20 years and retired from Staples Funeral Home at the age of 84.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed crocheting, making braided rugs, and cooking delicious foods for family and friends. Mae was an active member in her church and community activities.

  She has three children, Nancy Marshall Alder, Sherwood Marshall and Franklin Marshall (deceased), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
