The wait is over

For a few weeks now I have been talking non-stop about our website that we have been working on for our readers. Well, now the wait is over. Bright and early on Thursday morning, readers will be able to finally take a gander at www.kenbridgevictoriadispatch.com

Not only will the website have every article in the paper uploaded since the Sept. 16 edition, but it will be offered for free. Readers will just have to answer a question or two from Google and then you can let the reading commence.

Articles, classified ads, obituaries and more will all be available online to readers.

Remember something being in the paper, but can’t find it under a tab at the top of the page? No worries. You will be able to type in what you are looking for in the search bar and find articles that interest you even quicker.

The new website will also feature photo galleries. Although we are limited in the print version of the Dispatch when it comes to how many pictures we can put with each story, that won’t matter online. We will be able to upload tons of pictures to the photo gallery after special events that we attend.

Everything that you see in the paper will be online — but, there is more. The website will be a place that readers can check out for news happening all throughout the week. No more waiting around until the next paper comes out to find out who won the Friday night football game or if a breaking story happens over the weekend. Those stories will be uploaded online shortly after the event occurs.

Another new concept is advertising online. Already advertise in the print edition of the Dispatch? Why not advertise online and reach an even larger audience of prospective customers? More customers looking at your ads could never hurt.

There are many things that the website will offer to readers — too many to name. That is why we hope that come Thursday you will give the website a look and see what all it has to offer.
