The Heritage Hall — Blackstone family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the community members who donated blood at our first blood drive on Monday, Oct. 12. The blood drive was specifically held this week in honor of National Breast Cancer month. The Virginia Blood Services coordinator, Sherry Driskill, had this to say about the blood drive, “We had a great day with overwhelming response. We registered 25 people and collected 22 donations! Please thank everyone and let them know they helped support 66 lives.”

The bloodmobile was only here for four hours and we had a line most of that time! We are looking forward to offering this service at least twice a year and hope our community will continue to support our on-going effort to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
