On Saturday, the 5th Avenue Market in Kenbridge held its last market day for the season. The market opened up for the season on the second Saturday in June and ran through the end of October this year and showed significant gains in attendance from both customers and vendors.
New vendor participation brought in a greater variety this season spanning a wide spectrum of goods including local produce, fresh baked goods, delicious canned goods, homemade cheese, soaps and more. More than 10 different vendors participated on various weeks throughout the season helping to bolster attendance and improving customers’ buying experiences.
Customer attendance rose 20 percent from 2014 as the market saw more than 1,200 shoppers stop by during the course of the season.
The market would like to thank to everyone who came out to support the market both vendors and shoppers alike. It takes community support for a market to succeed and that is exactly what the 5th Avenue Market received more than ever this season.
