- The holidays are for sharing love and blessings with others. The U.S. Marine Corps League Detachment 1085 received over 50 toys donated by Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative and its employees as a donation to Toys for Tots. This is only one of many projects that the organization takes on during the holidays. Over 40 stockings were filled by the employees of Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative to assist the Salvation Army in bringing a Merry Christmas to those less fortunate in the community. This marks another year for the organization as the largest contributor to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Stockings project.
