A recent blood drive held by the Anema family, of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmville, in memory of Eli Jones, who was a student at SVCC, collected 56 pints of blood. This surpassed the family’s goal of wanting to collect 50 units of blood. The blood drive was held Dec. 29 at the church.
