The Colonial Center for Performing Arts in South Hill will host a free theatre workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 6-8 p.m. in the Earl O. Horne Auditorium.

The focus of the workshop will be improvisation, and registration will be open to people ages 10 and up.

Register to attend by no later than Monday, Feb. 8, at 4:30 p.m. by emailing or by calling the Colonial Center box office at (434) 262-4170. Be prepared to provide a name and telephone number for the registrant, and emergency contact information.

This workshop will be a opportunity for members of the community to learn performance tricks of the trade. Attendees are encouraged, although not required, to participate by taking part in games which help in developing abilities to think quickly and react to what is happening around them.

The Colonial Center is located at 220 S. Mecklenburg Ave. in South Hill. This workshop will be facilitated by the Colonial Center’s Director of Community Theatre, Douglas Wright.
