There to congratulate Boyd was Melissa Black, Acute Care Nursing director. Boyd has been employed at VCU Health CMH for two years. The nomination form submitted on her behalf stated, “Miriam always has a great outlook as secretary on South Wing. It can be a busy day, and she always has a smile of her face. She comes to us and asks to help if we need another secretary to cover shifts. Everyone loves to work with her because her attitude is electric.” In addition to the award certificate, Boyd received a STAR Service lapel pin, letter of commendation from administration, a $40 gift certificate and a parking place of her choice for the month.
