Victoria is ready for its Easter Egg hunt.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Victoria Railroad Park.

“The eggs have been (lined up); the prizes have been bought, and the bunny has been secured,” Mayor Carol Watson told the other members of council at their Tuesday, March 8, meeting.

The Easter activity kicks off a series of events throughout the year that town leaders hope will entertain locals and attract tourist dollars.

The town will host its fourth annual National Day of the Cowboy event on Saturday, July 23.

Meanwhile, later in the year, the town will host the 36th Autumn Day Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 8, and hold the fifth annual Small Town Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The Victoria Fire Department will sponsor the second annual Truck/Tractor Pull on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Watson called the events “good PR,” and added “it gets people into our town.”
