Kenston comes in second again

The Kenston Forest School golf team finished second for the third time this season in the conference match played last week.

Tyler Borum, of Blackstone, led the Kavs with a score of 45 for nine holes. The Kavaliers improve to 8-3-1 in the VCC for 2016 and are firmly in second place. The overall record for Kenston is 10-5-1. Last week Kenston defeated Brunswick, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, Banner and Fuqua in the conference match at Emporia Country Club.

Earlier in the week, KFS played Collegiate, St. Catherine’s and St. Gertrude’s at Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond. Cole Hagaman, of Lunenburg, led the Kavs with a score of 43 during that match.

The Kenston team returns to action on Thursday when it treks to Isle of Wight at 2 p.m.
