The Lunenburg Middle School boys basketball team won first place in the Southside Middle School Conference recently. The team’s record was 9-1 in the conference. The only game it lost was a hard-fought one against Central Middle School of Charlotte County by a score of 30-28. The team was recognized on Monday, May 9 at the Lunenburg County School Board meeting for this accomplishment.
