Southside Virginia Community College’s Phi Beta Lambda business organization students competed recently against students from other two- and four-year colleges across the state at the State Leadership Conference held in Glen Allen.

The students placed as follows: Faith Merricks, second place, administrative technology; Quamecka Davis, third place, administrative technology; and Jeanette Thompson, third place, business communication.

“Our chapter received first place recognition for making the largest contribution to Project ASK, which is Phi Beta Lambda’s state service project,” said Crystal Jones, associate professor for AST/IT. “Congratulations to all participants on the professional manner in which they represented SVCC.”

Sharnice Mason represented the chapter as an officer of PBL.
