VFW Post 9954 meeting held

- New officers of Lunenburg County VFW Post 9954 were recently sworn in. Lunenburg County Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9954 held its regular monthly dinner meeting at post headquarters on Tuesday, May 24.
Among items of business discussed were final arrangements for the Memorial Day Service honoring deceased veterans of all wars.
A second important item was the swearing in of officers for the coming year. The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the past district commander of District 4. All veterans of VFW Post 9954 are looking forward to carrying out another year of worthwhile service projects thereby living up to its motto: “Remembering the dead by serving the living.”
