Police in the town of Victoria are dealing with a rash of vehicle break-ins, and are encouraging people to simply lock their doors.

All the vehicles the theives entered were all unlocked, Police Chief Keith Phillips said.

“I would like the community to be aware of the activity but also make sure that they lock all vehicles and report any and all events of this type,” he said.

The subjects doing the break-ins are taking money and valuables, Phillips said.

“This can be prevented by simply locking doors on (your) vehicles and by not leaving valuable items in vehicles in plain sight,” he said.
