The Central High School varsity golf team defeated Buckingham County High School and Prince Edward County High School on Thursday at Lunenburg Country Club.

The Chargers produced a team score of 195, while the Eagles came in second with a 207 score and the Knights came in third with a 218.

Central returned to action on Tuesday against Goochland High School and Nottoway High School, and the Chargers will host Buckingham and Cumberland High School on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Lunenburg Country Club. The Chargers play again Tuesday, Sept. 6, against Amelia County High School and Prince Edward at The Manor Golf Club in Farmville at 3:30 p.m.
