Shirley R. Lee, second from right, recently presented a framed photograph and historical sketch of the Lone Oak School to Lone Oak Baptist Church in Keysville. The 1935 photograph is included in her educational collection housed by the Lunenburg County Historical Society. The Lone Oak School was organized in 1886 and closed in 1953. It has been remodeled into a private residence located next door to the church. Pictured are, from left, Ada Whitehead, the Rev. Vincent Eanes, Lee and Arthur Townsend Sr.
